I know it was ridiculous of me but I've been avoiding watching DW: The End of Time (though, i did watch the last few minutes on youtube). I just wasn't ready to let David Tennant go. I actually only started watching Doctor Who (excepting the Tom Baker episodes which i remember watching at [livejournal.com profile] kiribaby's house) because of Tennant. I've admired his work for a long time as I was so lucky to see him in a couple performances when I lived in London. So, despite not being interested in DW in the slightest, I watched the first episode with him when it aired and was instantly hooked. What can I say? I'm always hot for the adorable geek, which he definitely brought to Who. So, yeah, Tennant's my man (on my free five list for years now ;D).

Anyway, I just watched it and am embarrassed to admit I bawled like a baby. I know many of you have been rational people and have already been watching the 11th Doctor. Therefore I also know that many of you are completely enchanted by him. So, I'm totes willing to give Matt Smith a chance tonight but right now, I'm so sad. And I feel really lame that I'm so bummed out by a tv show.

Think I'll go watch David Tennant and John Barrowman kiss again

i bawled the 10th time i watched david go. ben watches it all the time on dvd and cries. he was just the epitome of the doctor. but, given my major bias, i really enjoyed matt smith tonight. i was really excited about DW again, which is great! i think it'll work out, after all, but i will definitely miss DT.

i could watch that all day long.

Well, i've seen it twice now and cried both times (i've been doing a fuckton of crying it seems) and i suspect i always will. i think david is absolutely the epitome of the doctor too. that being said, i really, really enjoyed last week's episode. i think Matt just took the part and ran with it and it worked. i'm looking forward to this week's ep so we'll see.

that's cos it's fucking brilliant.

DT was wonderful as the Doctor. He really owned the part, for his time. That is sort of the thing about Who - you always know it is going to end. But I thought that they gave him a very fitting sendoff.

you're right, of course. i think i'm just not used to the switching of the doctors since i only started watching when DT started. :) still, i thought it was a great end to his run and i look forward to seeing him elsewhere. meanwhilst, i really did enjoy Matt's performance. i think he's just running with the part and having fun, probs the best thing he could have done.

for my utter lameness and total sap? :)

i'm sure David will be popping up all over the place (there was mention of a US sitcom actually; I should see what happened with that). You are the most adorable geek of them all, bb. ♥

the latter. I detect no lameness, but extreme amounts of cute :)

Yes please, can he? I actually really want to see him in a feature film now; sitcoms would be good too, though! Did you find anything?

And, aw, *blushes* lucky me. ♥
