i have my passport in hand!!!  wooo-hooo!  and, i promise that this is the last you lot will hear of it.

in other news, i'm out. there's trolls and stupidity and it's so fucking annoying. i'd only been in fandom a short time when HBP came out and that was a fantastic experience. seriously, no book release should be fraught with anxiety, sorrow and anger...unless it's concern for characters. i already have enough stress and concern going on for my slytherin lads.  draco and sev get all my attention. trolls get none.

i'll likely be done with the book on saturday and be back around. but my lj will remain spoiler free even then.  kishi, i'll even remain spoiler free in your presence. ;)

and, if i don't like DH, I'm just going to make [profile] willysunny's dream verse my personal canon.  willow's series was the first HP fic I read and I re-read last night.  i still love this fic to pieces.  it's so well crafted, full of vivid imagery, true humanity and the struggle to move forward when facing adversity and loss.  so, if you're looking for something to occupy your time until DH, may i suggest the dream verse series?

or perhaps you're looking for something shorter?  how about tip's love is stronger than justice?  whether HP or original, tip's writing always touches me. i've recced this story before but i return to it often since it resonates so with me. in an amazing five hundred words, tip weaves evocative imagery and gorgeous language into a character death that is heart-breaking but oh-so-right.

so, yeah, i've found personal canon i'd be happy with.  and, i'm sure that i'll continue to do so after the dust settles and fandom remakes itself.  but for now, i wish you all well.  have fun and all that stuff.  catch you lovelies on the flip side!

has really only been that long? I was in around the time OotP premiered, but not active in "fandom" until 2004.

and no worries. I don't care if I am spoiled once I actually have it in my hands.

I am thinking lunch? we cannot get into our hotel until 3pm. Maybe over in Cambridge or is there anywhere close to where you are?

yeah, willow brought me over to lj in the summer of 2004. but i hovered around her and K for months before i ventured out into fandom in early 2005.

lunch is good. and i'm a fan of cambridge. i have an appointment at eleven that should take about an hour, hour and a half. i can be in cambridge by one the latest. any place in particular you'd like to go? i'm not the best in picking out places. ;)

There use to be a nice Armenian (maybe Turkish? I know it was Medi food and very good) place near by the square... not sure if it is still there. ??

Oneish sounds grand, gives us time to shop a bit before.

Hurray for the passport! It must be such a relief.

I think Tip's fic is flocked and it seems I'm not cool enough to be friended by him. You're intrigued me with your beautiful recommendation.

Sorry that the spoilers and fandom are frustrating you but I know you'll love reading the book anyway.

Will you be home for dinner tonight?

hmm. Algiers Coffee House (http://www.harvardsquare.com/directory.php?cat=&id=163)? Oleanna, which is rather pricey? I think there's a Sabra but now sure it's still there.

shopping is an excellent plan.
