I'm housebound for the next couple of days. Doctor's orders. So far I've cleaned my kitchen and lazed about on the couch reading. I finally decided to hit the internets and now you get my inane ramblings.

The cons of being housebound:
Work repeatedly calling to ask idiotic questions, restlessness, daytime tv sucks, boredom already settling in.

The pros:
Sleep, reading, OL shopping (hurray for getting a fair bit of the holiday shopping done), Merry Smutmas

I've finally been able to start reading some of the Smutmas fics. Good lord there's some good stuff out there! These are a couple of my faves so far:

Choiceless - Snape/Draco
I don't read a lot of Snape/Draco but this completely drew me in. Fabulous character development, intense emotions, and quite visceral.

Reprieve - Harry/Draco
There's plot, there's mystery, there's hot sex - what more could you want?

Worldy Hands - Sirius/Harry
This is scorchingly hot and there's past james/sirius angst - makes for a good combination. Simply gorgeous.

Now, can anyone rec me some good Ron/Slytherins, preferably Ron/Draco? I've got a hankering for some thanks to a rabid drabbler. ;)

Also, I really want some hot chocolate and there's none in the house. Now would be an excellent time for a certain someone to finish work on the instant teleportation device. Just sayin', lovey.

Here, have some music:
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Canon

The Brian Setzer Orchestra ~ Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

You know it does not pay to call in for me sick or not, they call all day and all it would take is common sense to get the answers for one day.

I think you could order hot chocolate over the internet and they will deliver it to your door, just an idea. Also a little Irish whisky added cures all ills.

I do hope you are better soon dear. I am sending you lots of good wishes and hugs.

Oh yeah, it's completely pointless for me to take days off. First, they reprimand me for having too many sick/personal/vacation days left to use. Then when I actually need to take them, they can't leave me alone. And, all they need is some bloody common sense. *sigh* Can you tell I'm annoyed right now?

Could you really? Mmm...irish whiskey.

Thank you kindly. A genetic illness I have is acting up a bit - couple days rest and I'll be right as rain. *hugs back*

yes it can be annoying, but that is not helping you rest and relax ;)

I had a Directors meeting this afternoon and spent 30 minutes on the inclement weather policy, now how hard is that to understand. Of course I live in the south and snow flurries freaks everyone out. Talk about common sense.

Now rest dear girl. that is an order.

Ahahaha! The last thing I did before leaving the office yesterday was re-clarify our inclement weather policy (which is fairly important up here in the north east). Speaking of the south, I once drove through South Carolina when they had like an inch of snow. The state seemed to shut down.

Am resting, am resting! ;)

The first question is: are you ignoring the phone calls? But what I really want to know is if you bought my gift yet? *grins*

Hot chocolate sounds wonderful. Tell that boy to get moving.

BTW, cleaning the kitchen doesn't sound very restful. Take care of yourself, silly girl.

For your information, your gift was bought a long time ago. Question is, have you bought mine?

Mmmm...hot chocolate. You tell him. I personally think the boy is all talk. ;)

I am taking care hence the utter boredom. How's things with you?

Nice avoidance of the first question, P. I suppose you think you're pretty slick trying to distract me with thoughts of gifts.

You still on? I just pinged you to no avail.

I have some hot chocolate - shall I send it to you?

and I think I have a ron/draco section of my memories if you're interested in ron/draco. I enjoy that pairing a lot.

my two favorites are: A Soft Spot for Lost Causes (http://www.livejournal.com/users/helenish/95642.html) and Origins of Myth (http://www.mediageek.ca/arsenicjade/writing/origins.html)

happy reading!

I would love some hot chocolate.

Yeah, Ron/Draco is a fairly new thing for me - star-crossed lovers mystique or something. Thanks for the links! *scurries away to read*

Speaking of Hot Chocolate... you should read the fic called that, for Smutmas. It's on the second page. *whistles*
